Our Technology Philosophy
Regex-First Architecture
317 deterministic pattern recognizers handle structured PII (IDs, tax numbers, credit cards). spaCy, Stanza, and XLM-RoBERTa NLP supplement for names and locations. All models run on our own servers in Germany — no data is ever sent to Meta, Google, Stanford, or any third party. Every detection is traceable and auditable.
German Infrastructure
All data stays in Germany on ISO 27001-certified servers. No surprise jurisdiction issues. EU data residency guaranteed.
Privacy by Design
We never store your original text. Processing happens in memory on our own servers in Germany. Your data is never sent to third-party providers, and never used for training or analytics.
Built on Microsoft Presidio
cloak.business is built on Microsoft Presidio, an open-source data protection and de-identification SDK. We've wrapped Presidio with a modern web interface, API, and enterprise features.
